Dress Code
Dress Code
All students are required to pull hair up in a ponytail, bun, and or away from face. Students ARE NOT ALLOWED TO WEAR T-SHIRTS or TANK TOPS DURING ANY CLASSES at Five Flags Dance Academy. Thank you for your cooperation.
All female students are required to wear a leotard and full-length footed or convertible tights to each class. (Leotard and tights may be any color) Feet must be covered by tights when in a dance shoes. No bare feet in dance shoes.
Male dancers may wear shorts or dance pants and a shirt that properly fits. No baggy shirts please. All male shoes should be black in color-ballet, tap, jazz and Hip Hop
Ballet: Leotard and full footed or convertible tights. Tights must be worn over feet. No bare feet allowed. NO T-SHIRTS or pants. Ballet skirts are encouraged. Shoes: Pink Leather ballet slippers-full or split sole (Bedroom slippers are not acceptable)
Pointe: Leotard and full footed or convertible tights worn over feet. Ballet skirts are allowed. Shoes: the brand and style that works best for you. Ms. Dianne and/or Ms. Joanne will assist with our fitting if you wish
Tap: Leotard and full footed or convertible tights. Tights must be worn over feet and feet. No T-shirts allowed. Dance shorts or dance pants are acceptable over leotard. Shoes: Preschool, Preschool level 2, Beginning Children and Children Level 1-Black patent leather with elastic loop. No buttons, snaps or Velcro allowed. Children 2, Children 3, Children 4, all Junior and Senior Levels -tan or Caramel lace up tap oxford. Full or split sole
Jazz: Leotard and full footed or convertible tights. NO T-SHIRTS ALLOWED. No jeans or tank tops allowed. Dance pants or dance shorts are acceptable. Shoes: Suntan or Caramel slip on jazz shoe. Split sole
Lyrical: Leotard and full footed or convertible tights. NO T-SHIRTS or tank tops ALLOWED. Dance pants or dance shorts are acceptable. Shoes: Dance Paws
Hip Hop: Leotard and full footed or convertible tights. NO T-SHIRTS or tank tops ALLOWED. Dance pants, Baggy pants or dance shorts are acceptable. Shoes: Black Dance Sneakers
Musical Theater: Leotard and full footed or convertible tights. NO T-SHIRTS or tank tops ALLOWED. Dance pants or dance shorts are acceptable. Shoes: Tan or Caramel slip on jazz shoe-split sole
Reminder: t-shirts or tank tops are not allowed in any dance classes at Five Flags Dance Academy. Dancers should wear a cover-up over their dance clothes when arriving and departing the building.
